# CraftEngine

## CraftEngine

SimplyMines can place [CraftEngine](https://modrinth.com/plugin/craftengine) custom blocks as part of a mine's composition.

### Setup

1. Install CraftEngine and make sure your custom blocks are registered.
2. In the mine's block editor, add a block entry using the CraftEngine block key instead of a vanilla `Material`.

### Placement behavior

Blocks are placed via CraftEngine's `CraftEngineBlocks` API — either `CraftEngineBlocks.place(location, key, applyPhysics)` for the normal placement path, or by resolving the block's `BlockDefinition` and applying its default `BlockData` directly when physics should be skipped.

If the block key doesn't resolve, that placement is silently skipped for that tick.

### Physics

CraftEngine blocks support a "no physics" placement mode — enable this per-block in the mine editor to skip physics updates on placement during a reset.
